Fourteen years writing software, most of it spent on the parts of a system nobody wanted to claim: the migration, the retry logic, the pager. I've been backend, infra, and once for a bad quarter, half of a frontend team - not because I'm hard to place, but because whatever was on fire needed someone who had already fixed something like it. I grew up moving between four cities and never fully lost the habit; I still do not buy furniture I would mind leaving behind. I run, badly, in the mornings before the pager has a chance to weigh in on my day, and I read more nonfiction than I finish. Currently a staff engineer, still on the pager, still not sure that is a title and not a description of a personality flaw.
